#7 || Architecture Presentation Boards

These are the A0 size landscaped architectural presentation boards for my final design project of the semester. It is a live and work center.

The site has a reputation of having homeless people and single mothers. Therefore, this is the project where architecture comes in to solve this social problem, to give them an opportunity to survive in this society by providing them a place to learn different skills (crafting, recycling, business etc) and make a living.

The program has 4 major features in it :- UPCYCLING (saves the environment by producing more goods from it)  ,  FLEA MARKET (to make this building self sustaining through the profits made by selling hand made items with skills learnt in the center),  ACCOMODATION (gives them the simplest need in return - shelter) and FOOD RELIEF PROGRAM ( a soup kitchen for the homeless people and a restaurant to draw in the customers for profit ).

The idea of the program is to be self sustaining. The people do not stay in here forever if they wish to establish their own career in the future. There is a career helping centre in the building to help the people get a job outside and live on their own someday when they are ready.

This is a project where the programs are so essential in developing and inflencing the form and space of the building. The concept of 'arising and future' is established as inspired from the program itself. The building is shaped linearly following a simple straight line and humbly surrounded by natural vegetations to commemerate the humble spirit of the people in need.
